Health and Nutritional Benefits
Radish microgreens pack more vitamins and minerals compared to regular radish bulbs. They also contains chlorophyll that aids in the detoxification of the body.
In a 2012 study published by the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, three varieties of radish microgreen included among 25 microgreens tested were determined to have high content of Vitamin K, Vitamin C, Beta Carotene, and Vitamin E. Green Daikon radish had the highest concentration of Vitamin E, an antioxidant that helps protect your cells from damage and slows its adding process.
Additionally, radish microgreens have high levels of Vitamin B3 (Niacin), Vitamin B6, Vitamin A, Folate and Manganese as well as Potassium, Pantothenic acid, Calcium, Magnesium, and Zinc.
