Whether you’re still in the planning phase of growing the strawberry fruit or you’ve done it a couple of times before, here are smart and useful tips on growing strawberries at your home garden.

• Strawberries are generally easy to grow. Whether you have wide garden plots or just a few pots on your patio, you can start growing strawberry plants and you’ll be amazed by the fruits they will bear.
• Planting and growing strawberries don’t require any specialized tool or equipment. As long as you have a place for them to grow, such as pots or containers on your deck, patio, or porch, cultivating strawberry fruits is doable right at the comfort of your home.
• There are two ways of growing strawberries. One is by using strawberry seeds and the other is by transplanting an already grown strawberry plant to your home garden.
• Strawberries love sunlight. They require full and direct light from the sun to produce excellent yields. Place your strawberry plant under the sun for about six to eight hours daily.
• If you choose to grow your strawberry plant indoors, be sure to use a full-spectrum grow light. Place it near the plant or hang it above. Expose the plant to the light for eight hours a day, but you can let the light on for up to 16 hours.
